Education is a social process in which information, our interactions, and our experiences change us. As an educator, I strive to create challenging and safe environments for students to explore themselves and human nature.
If you are a student at MCCC, I would be delighted to see you in one of the classes I typically teach, including General Psychology, Psychology of Personality and Adjustment, Social Psychology, and Psychology of Human Sexuality. Please also feel free to stop by my office hours.
Education happens outside of the classroom, too! Students are encouraged to explore student clubs and other activities. If you think you might be interested in the Psychology club or the GSA, our meetings are open and you are welcome to join or ask me about them any time.
Students interested in psychology are encouraged to explore psychology's subfields as well as interdisciplinary fields such as sexology and related fields such as social work and neuroscience. There is a lot to explore! The American Psychological Association's site on Careers in Psychology is a great place to start.
Just looking for how to cite your sources? Students enrolled in psychology classes may benefit from getting the APA Style Guide. It is recommended!
